Adults MUST Read This
- Your precious children need your care. Do not leave the little ones unattended. Please be aware of the danger of the small pond behind the pavilion and the steep drop-offs on some of the trails. These are places that must have adult supervision.
- We do not have cell service. (You are here to relax! ☺) However you can use the phone in the kitchen. The camp number is (828)-656-2375.
- There are sewer hook-ups for only 3 sites. Do not confuse water shut-offs for sewer connections! ☺ You may dump your sewer at the campsite between the cul-de-sac and the pavilion. This may be accessed from the circle drive. There is a small honey wagon on the right of the utility barn.
- Take care of your trash. The “trash trailer” is here for your use. Do not leave any trash in trailer; the coons pull it out of the bottom. There is a trash receiving facility about 6 miles from camp. Leaving camp at the bridge; take a right onto 208 than to the 1st left on Franklin Mtn. Rd. Go to stop sign (T road, 212) & take a right. Go ¾ mile, past Laurel Fire Dept. 4949 Highway 212 Marshall, NC. Trash center is on the left. (Open Mon, Wed, & Fri. 7:30 AM- 6:00 PM. On Sat. 8:00AM-5:00 PM.) There is another trash center in Marshall on left before Ingles open 6 days a week. Trash card is on front of trailer.
- Mary and Merl stay in their cabin at times but will not interfere with your “camping experience.”
- If you have a problem, which calls for immediate attention, call Merl 864-378-1622 or Brent 864-378-1624.
- No pets allowed in campground; dogs, cats, horses etc. If you bring horses to ride the trails, do not bring them into the camp. Please help us protect the wildlife so others can enjoy them too. No frog gigging or killing animals.
- Absolutely no alcohol or tobacco on premise.
- For your safety; please close front gate at night. Because of the steep trails and drop-offs, we discourage using four wheelers however if you bring them, be sure to drive carefully and observe one way signs. If you bring golf carts you are free to use in camp however positively none on high trails.
- If you use the pavilion/kitchen/shower house; please leave it clean. Clean out fridge, microwave, & oven. Clean rest rooms. Cleaning supplies are in closets in rest rooms. Lock all doors and deadbolts. Place the dehumidifier to the left of sink and plug it in with hose in drain. Turn off hot water heater and all lights.
- Leave the pavilion floor clean; electric power washer is in the men’s restroom closet. Be sure to close the garage door at the kitchen, when powerwashing.
- Make sure the power for the dehumidifiers in bathrooms is turned on when you leave,
- In order to use the sauna room you must have pre-approval from Merl 864 378 1622. Be totally responsible for all activities and be willing to bear responsibility for any damage. Absolutely no throwing water on stove. (This would ruin it.)
Water to cool pool;
- Turn valve on at well which is under insulated cover, past cabins 1, 2, & 3.
- Be sure black plastic pipe to cool pool is out of the pool running for several minutes to clear itself of the orange iron buildup.
- In order to have a good flow continuously, be sure to adjust the valve so the pump will stay running at approximately 55 pounds of pressure.
- Be sure the pump is not stopping and starting.
- When leaving: fill the pool and cover it. Make sure the black plastic pipe is OUT of the pool.
- Turn off the valve at the well.
